Last Post!

So this will probably be my last post. I don't want everyone to see ALL the pictures I have before I come home- that'd be no fun (of course I have lots more)! Everyone at the bazaar loves to get their picture taken, "Take my picture, my picture!"

Stars

I've always been interested in leading a group of girls between the ages 8-11. Who knew that would travel with me? Every Tuesday I meet with these gals and we have snack, share requests, have a "story", a craft/ drama, and have lots of fun. I never realized how much girls DO talk until now. Wow. I love them, sadly I've only led the group for two months. This upcoming week is the last of school so it'll be our last. Of course the girls made sure we had a sleepover in there, but that's a whole different story. :) A big thanks to those of you have invested in my life!

Spring

Every Spring this country has a big celebration called Nav Roos. New dresses, flowers everywhere, Osh in every house...I took the girls on a quick walk through the Botanical Gardens. It was crazy crowded. We've decided that the only things we saw were: back of heads, a few dancers, and lots of people. But we loved being there anyway. I guess each booth was set up to show life here. We didn't really have a tour guide.

It's a beautiful time of the year. 70 degrees so far! I'll post more pictures when I find some time!

School

It's finally warm! So the kids and I enjoy working on school outside on the-"picnic table". It's just like eating on the floor: mats for sitting on and a table cloth. We haven't eaten outside yet, but it's a great place for school. In fact, the Land Lord's kids come home from school and get out their homework right away and join us!

School Concert

Here I took the girls to a local school concert. We had met a family in the Botanical Garden and were invited to come to his school and see this concert. I think we got more pictures taken of us than the group on stage. No joke. Every camera and video camera came on, even those for tv.

So the first picture shows our street up to the big main one. You can find everything going this way.

This picture shows the opposite way. It goes out... somewhere. Yes, I've been that way, but that was to a far away bazar. Those trees and that wall is the back of the Botanical Garden. We normally take a Sunday walk there. It's the place to be. Obviously you know where the water pipe is!

Survivor

Just thought I'd post a note saying we're done playing the game, "Survivor". No more buckets of water to collect. We have water in the house again, and it's warm now (60 degrees)!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get a picture of me up! I know you've been asking me, so I took this one quickly (that explains my messy hair) before heading out the door!

5-10

So, it isn't SO bad here. A couple countries had "pity" on us and are giving us access to their power supply. We have it from 5am-10am and then again from 5pm-10pm. This gives us enough time to heat up our rooms with our electric heaters. We don't have gas except for in the kitchen, because there's no water in the pipes and our pipes are still frozen! Now, of course we don't ALWAYS get electricity from 5-10 (more like 7-9:45) but it's still good enough for me :) Plus it was a VERY nice day today-that always helps!

The Fun Times Are-A-Coming

Just a post to say good-bye, at least for now. On Sunday the country is said to run out of electricity for 2 weeks or a month. Some people are making a huge deal out of it, some are not. There have been claims like this before that turned out to be nothing. We'll just have to wait and see. No worries though, we'll all be fine.

Friend

So this is me with a friend, I've been getting in trouble for not posting pictures of myself. Does this count? Life without friends wouldn't be so great, so here's a new one!

Room Pt. 1

Okay, so since my room is small I can't get all the shots in one picture, so I will do a part 2 later. I'll do my best to get all 8 pictures up! I love my little room, it's the warmest, even when there's no electricity or gas :) You can also "see" my new guitar in it's case!

Snow Fun!

Most everyone knows how I love to take pictures, so when the parents saw the kids playing the snow in the yard I was called out. I didn't play, it was way too cold-but not too cold for pictures.

Meet Alpha!

So since we live in the gated in area with our Landlords, we've also gained a dog, Alpha! Poor guy doesn't look as cute because he's freezing and kinda wet. He doesn't get to put on the typical three layers like the rest of us to keep warm! Ha, he's barking right now.

So here's a group of us who climbed up a "hill". I'm sure it'd be called a mountain but it's very small and easy enough. There was snow, but not a whole lot. Coming down strategy? Run, jump, slide down the mud. I was full of mud by the end of the day, but it was way fun.
